The House by the Lake
Once, not so long ago, in a country in Central Europe, three sisters were forced to go into hiding. In a cold and sparse room, they waited for the return of their mother.
When night fell, in order to hold onto the life they once had and knew, they escaped into a game of make believe.
”The House by the Lake” is a unique performance, moving between musical cabaret and modern adult puppet theatre.
From the depth of unspeakable memory, the story unfolds of three sisters during the Holocaust. This poignant show explores a world of stolen childhoods, life and family torn apart. But even in the face of the darkest of nightmares, the power of imagination and creativity cannot be silenced.
